Gratitude

I have a Gratitude Journal that I look forward to writing in every night before I go to bed.  This last year writing in it has been a wonderfully rewarding experience for me.  Last night,  I looked at all the phenomenal things that I had written down and I was extremely elated to notice that my life is NOW headed in a more harmonious/joyous direction. I heard a wise man say "the soul that is always grateful lives in closer touch with God than the one which never looks to Him in thankful acknowledgement."   The more gratefully we fix our minds on the Creator when good things come to us, the more good things we will receive, and the more rapidly they will come; and the reason simply is that the mental attitude of gratitude draws the mind closer in touch with the Source from which the blessings come from. Gratitude alone for me, keeps me looking toward the "ALL" and prevents me from falling into the error of thinking that the supply is limited.  When I take notice of when I get a bit frightened, I  find that I want to control everything: which may shut off the flow of my Good. I begin to remind myself of all the things I have to be grateful for. I tell myself to trust life and believe that everything I need is here for me.  The moment we permit the mind to dwell with dissatisfaction upon things that give reason to be ungrateful for, we begin to lose ground.  Our attention becomes upon all the reasons why we are not grateful.  The Creative Power within us makes us into the image of that to which we give our attention. To permit the mind to dwell on what's going wrong or the things we don't have is to surround ourselves with that very thing!  On the other hand, to fix your attention on what to be grateful for is to surround yourself with greatness: and to become  GRATEFUL!  When a grateful mind is constantly fixed upon the best; it tends to become the best; it takes the form or character of the best, and it will receive the best!  Notice the grateful attitude that Jesus took; how he always seems to be saying, "I thank Thee, Father that thou hearest me." We can't exercise much power without gratitude; it's gratitude that keeps us connected with Power! It is necessary for us; then to cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to us; and to give thanks continuously!  Having an attitude of gratitude will bring you into harmonious relations with the good in everything, and the good in everything will move toward YOU!

Develop and strengthen your Attitude of Gratitude :))

Exercise Your Will Power

I went to the theater this weekend to see a movie titled Green Lantern, and let me just say "I Loved it"! My friend told me that it was based on the cartoon which I had never seen before. As I sat and watched, I became thrilled by this "green energy of WILL power" that was channeled through a ring by all of the animated characters that were wearing them.  When wearing the green ring, each character could create with the ring what they invisioned in their mind.  I was blown away and I immediately associated the green ring to the human will power.  From what I have learned is that:  ALL Belief begins in the WILL to believe.  You can't always and instantly believe what you WILL to believe; but you can always WILL to believe what you WANT to believe. YOU direct the will upon the mind, and use it in determining what you shall believe, what you shall think, and to what you shall give your attention. Just as the Green Lanterns did in the movie.  When they gave attention to the the creating image/vision of what they wanted to create in their mind it then appeared out into physical form.  The sole legitimate use of the will is in determining to WHAT you give your ATTENTION, and WHAT you think about; the things to which your ATTENTION is given.  Whoever or whatever attention is placed on becomes more real.  REALITY is sustained by attention.  When you put your attention on something you stretch toward it! Look at something, and you stretch towards it.  Once your curiosity is satisfied, your ATTENTION comes off whatever you were looking at, listening to, touching, etc., and moves to something else. The proper use of the will is to discipline the control of one's own attention.  Exercise your will power in choosing only those thoughts which are thoughts of Success! Choose positive thoughts and beliefs.  Give your attention to Self -Love, Self-Acceptance, Love, Happiness, Abundance, Excellent Health, Wealth, and Well-Being.  Strengthening the will can amazingly improving the quality of your life!  If we want tomorrow to be positive, then we must change our thinking TODAY! Today's thoughts create tomorrow's experiences.  If we have the WILL to believe that our life can get better then it can.  We have the power to WILL it into existence. We cannot retain a true clear vision of Success if we are constantly turning our attention to opposing thoughts (the evil darkness).  We can't keep telling the story of our past troubles, pains, and disappointments.  "Let the dead bury their dead," Jesus said.  We must put poverty and all things that pertain to poverty completely behind us and out of our minds.  We must use our mind to form a mental image of what we want like the Green Lantern, and give attention only to that vision with faith; use our "will power" to keep our minds working in the right way.  Giving our attention wholly to thoughts of abundance.  Close your mind against the negative mind chatter, any thoughts of unworthiness, fear or doubt; ALL that may tend to shake your vision. Where-ever attention goes, it grows!

Use the Green Lantern's Oath. “In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil’s might, Beware my power… Green Lantern’s light!

Use your powerful mind as appose to the green ring to fight those evil thoughts that creep into the dark space of your mind. Man can form things in his thought, and, by impressing his thought upon formless substance, can cause the things he thinks about to be created.  Use your will power to deliberately create what you prefer. Don't wait for a change in your environment before you act.  Put your whole mind into present action, and act NOW!!

Positive Affirmation: Today I will visualize how I want my life to be in all areas. I will make a clear mental picture of it. I will carry this mental picture no matter how bleak things look. I will keep focusing on this mental picture until it manifests into reality. All my thoughts, words, and actions will line up with my mental picture.

Infinite Love and Gratitude, :)

Nothing Happens Until You Decide

I spoke with several different people this week who shared with me that they were unhappy with their lives.  One wanted to leave and unhappy job, the other an unhappy relationship, and the last one an unhappy environment (place of residence).  I was simply amazed at the number of people in one room who felt as if they had no way out.  I asked them all two questions. What made them think that there was no way out? and, What made them continue to go through the same unhappy experience everyday?  They all stated "maybe SOMETHING will happen and things will CHANGE."  I said "ok, and what exactly is that SOMETHING?"  The room all of a sudden became quiet, no one said a word.  Then they all said together "I don't know!"  I thought to myself, we choose to wait often for other people to make choices for our lives.  We somehow forget that WE are the controllers of our experience.  We can choose to make a decision that will change the direction of our lives and create happiness or we can wait until eternity for "SOMETHING" outside of our selves to happen, which will most likely NEVER happen.  It's a must that we take SELF RESPONSIBILITY for our very own LIFE!  We have to make a decision and move FORWARD in order to create change.  When there is a decision to be made and the decider never makes a choice, the GOAL is never obtained.  Nothing will ever happen unless we are willing to DECIDE. I gave them an example of a person getting on an elevator.  The person steps on the elevator and the elevator door closes. Unless the person presses a button and chooses what floor they are going to, the elevator will never move.  And so it is with US.   I told them all that if they wanted happiness they had to DECIDE when they wanted it.  They all said "NOW!" I said "ok, that is the first step." I said "Now your next step is to decide how your going to create it."  They all stated again that they didn't know how.  I told them all that the point that I was trying to get across was that in almost everything we do in life choosing to DECIDE is the basis for it ALL.  In order to create CHANGE action must be taken! SHIFTING or MOVEMENT is required.   Making the decision on "the what" and "the how."  Deciding what it is that you want: what the GOAL is, then deciding how to go about obtaining the GOAL.  All you have to do is DECIDE...DECIDE.. DECIDE.... LOL! Nothing ever happens until WE DECIDE!
